The device works like a regular terminal, but instead of money, it gives out coins made of 24 carat gold
In India, in the city of Hyderabad, an ATM was launched that dispenses gold coins. This is the first device not only in the country, but also in the world.
The ATM holds five kilograms of 24 carat gold coins. Eight types are available to customers – from 0.5 grams to 100 grams. People can come here, insert a bank card and get coins directly instead of going to jewelry stores.
Gold prices are updated in real time – in accordance with the quotes on the London Stock Exchange. The device is equipped with a complex system of protection against burglary, in particular, communication with the police. It started working on December 3, on the first day 20 people used its services.
Gold ATM technology was developed by the Indian bullion trading company Goldsikka Pvt Ltd. About 3,000 such devices are going to be installed in India. The ATM is equipped with a built-in camera and sound alarm.
